Lagos being the capital of Nigeria is a big metropolitan city that is based on the islands separated by the creeks like Lagos Island which fringe the southwest mouth of Lagos Lagoon. Since long the Lagos has been spread on the mainland west of the lagoon and the conurbation, which also includes Agege and Ikeja.
Besides, there are also Lagos Outskirts such as Ikorodu, Badagry, Epe and other local councils are also being constituted to improve the functions of local governments. It’s necessary because the city is the financial as well as the economic hub of the Nigeria and enjoys a significant position in the African Region being the port city.
